Anthony J. Gamerota

Anthony J. Gamerota, 92 of Dobbs Ferry died November 3, 2011. Mr. Gamerota was born in Dobbs Ferry to Pasquale and Maria Gamerota. Anthony served in the US ARMY during World War II. He served in the Pacific Theater. After his return from the service he married Helen Arena in Mt. Vernon in 1946. Anthony was the District Manager for Shopwell Foods in the Bronx for many years. Surviving besides his wife are his children; Anthony Theresa, William Carol, Carol Pat Lancellotti and Thomas. He is also survived by one sister Angelina Fastiggi, nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mass of the Resurrection Monday 9:30 AM, Church of the Sacred Heart. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9PM, Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home.
