Florence Altamura, 97, formerly of Dobbs Ferry and Irvington died January 31, 2013. She was born in Dobbs Ferry to Luciano and Maria Matarazzo. Florence worked in the cafeteria at Ciba-Geigy in Ardsley for many years. She moved to Irvington in the 1970's. Florence was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii Church and was a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the Irvington Seniors. Florence was predeceased by her husband Gaetano in 1975. She is survived by her daughters Barbara Richard Maceyko and Maria T. Lewis, sister Mary Grande, grandchildren Laurie Ann Hood and Stephen R. Maceyko, great grandchildren Andrew Maceyko, Amanda Maceyko, Alan Maceyko and Mace Hood. Mass of the Resurrection Monday 9:30AM Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Irvington Seniors.
