George Brereton, 77 of Irvington died June 28, 2016. He was born in County Offaly, Ireland. He came to the US in 1960. He settled in the Bronx and later moved to Irvington. George worked for the NYC Dept of Education as an Operating Engineer. He was predeceased by his wife Mary. George is the loving father of Joanne Kieren Boylan, Andrew Tara Brereton, Mary Frances Richard Moran, George Brereton, Jr. Noreen Richard Bellotti, Bridget Matthew Starr. Devoted brother to Mick Brereton, Biddy Ely and Tom Brereton. Cherished grandfather of Mairead, Una, Eilis Boylan, Mary, Andrew, Elizabeth Brereton, Molly, Katie, Dolores Moran, Daniel and Meredith Bellotti, Corinne and Matty Starr.
