Stephen John Blaha, 89, of Ardsley, NY died August 31, 2011. He was born in North Tarrytown, NY to Stephen and Albina Blaha. Stephen attended school in North Tarrytown. He married Wanda Cilinski on October 31, 1943. Stephen served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. In 1958 he moved to Ardsley. He became a Police Officer in 1952 and was the Chief of Police in Ardsley from 1964 to 1987. Stephen was a member of the New York State and International Chiefs of Police Associations. He is survived by his beloved wife, children Stephen Margaret Blaha and Lorraine Easty, 5 grandchildren Lauren, Karen, John, Natasha, Stephen and 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Katherine LeBlanc. Mass of the Resurrection 10 AM Saturday September 3, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Ardsley, NY.
