Dorothy M. King, died June 9, 2011. She was 89. Born in Providence, RI and moved to Irvington in 1939. Dot married Norman Red King on March 3, 1945 at Immaculate Conception Church in Irvington. Dot will be remembered for her grass skirt and ukulele playing, which entertained family and friends for over seven decades. She also had a passion for boating on the Hudson and on Lake George. Dot is survived by her children, Dorothy Lugrezia Bob, Norman Dick King, and Debbie Turk Bip, as well as eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman and her son, Tommy. A private graveside service will be held at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery on Saturday, June 11, at 11:00 A.M. Donations in her memory can be made to the Irvington Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
