Aldo Romano Conetta, 80, formerly of Tarrytown, passed away on March 29th, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends. Born and raised in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Dominick and Agnese Conetta. After earning his Undergraduate and Graduate degrees in Chemistry from New York University he married his loving wife Patti in 1960. He served in the US Army from 1962-1964. Patti and Aldo eventually settled in Tarrytown where they lived for more than 45 years, raising their two children, before retiring to Somers, NY. Aldo was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather. He is survived by his wife Patti, daughter Lisa and her husband, Eric Picker, son Christopher and his wife Holly and his five cherished grandchildren Caitlyn and Christopher Hunter Conetta and Reese, Lyla and Drew Picker, and many dear friends. Aldo was beloved by all who came to know him and he will be "sorely missed". Visitation Friday 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Edwards -Dowdle Funeral Home. There will also be a Memorial Service & Celebration of Aldo's Life on Sunday, April 10th, 1pm at Bedford Presbyterian Church in Bedford NY.
