Raymond Ocana

Raymond Ocana, age 54 of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY passed away on January 13, 2016. He was born at Columbia Presbyterian in Manhattan to Luz Maria Ovalle and Rigoberto Ocana and grew up in Brooklyn. Ray was a graduate of LaSalle Academy in NYC and Manhattan College Biology, 1983 in the Bronx. He also had a Certificate in Business Management from NYU. Ray was the loving husband of Maria Teresa Santos whom he married in 1985. Together they raised three wonderful children. He is survived by his wife, his children Melissa Ezra Markowitz, Michael and Matthew and his father, Rigoberto. Ray was predeceased by his mother, Luz Maria Ovalle and his sister, Josephine Ocana. Ray worked as a research assistant at Rockefeller University after graduating from college. He was employed in movie theater management United Artists and Clearview for more than 20 years. Ray loved baseball, music, politics and above all, his family. He was bright, well-rounded and determined. He was generous and never missed an opportunity to help those in need. Visitors will be received by the family at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2158 Watson Ave corner Castle Hill Ave in the Bronx, NY, on Saturday, January 23rd at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM.
