Karl I. Beitin, 79, of Dobbs Ferry passed away suddenly on July 20, 2015. Karl had a long, successful career in design and consulting engineering after receiving his PhD in Engineering from the University of Michigan. In addition, he was a professor at Pratt Institute for 10 years. Karl founded and was still actively leading his own engineering firm, Beitin Associates in New York City. He was a kind and caring person and will be sorely missed. Karl is survived by his children Leila Herb Hooper, Ben Renee, Clara and Anna Beitin and six grandchildren Samuel, Noah, Alina and Jason Hooper and Ariana and Niya Beitin.
