Norma Wenderoth Obituary

Norma Wenderoth passed away in the early morning of April 16, 2015. Born Norma Guy Martoccio to Humbert and Antoinette Martoccio in the Bronx, where she was raised along with her sisters, Carol and Corinne. She graduated from St. Helena's High School. She married Louis S. Marino in 1949, with whom she had two children, Robert and Louise. In 1966 she married Charles S. Wenderoth of White Plains. They were together until his death in 2009. Their marriage spawned many successful business ventures in New York and California, where they ultimately settled. One of their businesses was Wright Way Tours, which fostered her love of travel. She traveled throughout the world. She most notably journeyed down the Amazon River to create customized tours for her clients. Norma was a passionate chef who delighted in cooking many Italian recipes. She fought her way back from two strokes which required extensive physical rehabilitation. Norma loved living in Malibu, CA. She sold ad space for Malibu Monthly and was a parishioner at Our Lady of Malibu for many years. Norma is pre-deceased by her loving husband Charles S. Wenderoth. She is survived by her son Robert, daughter Louise Cassella nee Marino, grandchildren David Marino, Michael and Emily Cassella, three great grandchildren, Dominic and Nico Marino and Michael Cassella, and her sisters Carol Villamana and Corinne DeRosa. Mass of the Resurrection Monday 10:00AM Church of the Immaculate Conception, 16 N. Broadway, Irvington, NY. Visiting Sunday, today 3-6pm Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home.
