Marguerite Padden O'Connor

Marguerite Padden O'Connor, a resident of Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY, died early Christmas morning. She was the daughter and Michael and Mary Padden, born in New York City on August 27, 1918. Marguerite married Matthew O'Connor 1915-2000 in 1947 and they had three children: Marguerite O'Connor Hebert Ronald of Mandeville, Louisiana; Marilyn O'Connor Dimling John of Irvington, New York, and Michael Brian O'Connor of St. James, New York. She had seven granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. One of eight children herself, "Margee" had many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved and revered. Marguerite lived in the New York City area: in Manhattan, in the Bronx, Queens, and on Long Island until 1989, when she retired to Niceville, Florida. She moved back to Dominican Village, Amityville, New York, in 2011, where she resided until her move to Dobbs Ferry in November, 2013. Known for her great Irish hospitality, her love of family, and her devotion to her faith, Margee will remain in the hearts of all those who knew her. The Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Friday, January 2, at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Dobbs Ferry, New York.
