Virginia P. "Dap" Odierno, 88, of Dobbs Ferry died April 14, 2012. Born in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Norbert and Angelina Ignelzi. Virginia was one of nine children and attended Bronx schools. Virginia married Michael Odierno on November 27, 1948 and would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this year. She worked as a seamstress in New York City before getting married and raising a family. Virginia and Michael moved to Dobbs Ferry in 1973. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, sewing and reading. Virginia also loved putting together a good puzzle and moving to her house in Clearwater, FL for the winter months. She most importantly loved spending time with her grandson, Michael and all of his friends. She was a devoted wife, a beloved mother and loving grandmother and will be deeply missed. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Michael, on March 23rd of this year. She is survived by her daughter Joanne and her husband Michael Hazen, grandson Michael and his wife Sara Hazen, great-grand daughter Charlotte, sisters Marian, Frances, Josephine and Caroline. Virginia was also, predeceased by her son, Michael, Jr., brothers Ernest and Norbert, and sisters Ann and Angelina.
