Lenore M Burke
Lenore M. Burke, 92, a longtime resident of Hastings-on-Hudson passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 with her loving family by her side. Born in St. Charles, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Delphine Fischbach. Lenore married Edward T. Burke on June 27, 1942 at the Church of St. Matthew, R.C. in Hastings-on-Hudson. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking. Lenore was a huge sports fan especially college basketball and the NY Mets. She had a deep love for her family and loved spending time with them. Lenore was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be truly missed. She is survived by her four children Edward T. Rosita Burke, Jr, Patrick Sheila Burke, Mary Teresa Vrabel and Virginia Ronald Baker, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Lenore was predeceased by her husband Edward in 1997. Mass of the Resurrection 10:00am Thursday Church of St. Matthew, R.C., Hastings-on-Hudson. Visiting 4-8pm Wednesday Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home.
