Thomas J. Monteforte

Thomas J. Monteforte 77, of Dobbs Ferry, died February 2, 2012. He was born in the Bronx and had lived in Dobbs Ferry for 43 years. He served in the US Navy from 1952-1956 aboard the USS Salem. On September 29, 1962 he married Ann Haggerty in Eastchester, Ann died in 1994. He worked in sales for AT&T in Westchester County prior to his retirement. Surviving are his daughter Jean Nicholas Capuano and two grandchildren Alexander and Jack Capuano. Mass of the Resurrection Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. Church of the Sacred Heart, Dobbs Ferry. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Memorials for the renovation of the USS Salem as a Museum, 739 Washington Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
