Janine Marie Reisert lost her life-long battle to Cystic Fibrosis at age 37 on July 5, 2014. She was born and raised in Dobbs Ferry, NY where she attended Sacred Heart Elementary School Dobbs Ferry, Maria Regina High School Hartsdale, and Pace University Pleasantville, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000 with a BA in Marketing and a minor in Advertising. Janine was one of seven children born to Robert and Patricia Reisert nee Browne. Janine is survived by her mother Patricia, father Robert, sisters Elizabeth Edward Burnich, Claire Sam Neale, Lorraine Scott Fountain, twin sister Doreen Brian Pohorylo and brother John Amanda Reisert. She is also survived by her nephews Connor, Karl and Jason Burnich and Spencer Fountain, and niece Kendall Fountain. Janine is predeceased by her brother Ronald, who also succumbed to Cystic Fibrosis. Janine was employed by Evite.com as a Senior Ad Operations Specialist. She was an avid Yankees and NY Giants fan. She enjoyed hanging out with friends and loved to travel to warm and sunny destinations. Janine shared an inseparable bond with her twin sister Doreen - they were best friends, co-workers, and buddies and is now her special angel. Janine's beautiful smile and perseverance with her long battle against Cystic Fibrosis has instilled courage and strength within her family and those who were lucky enough to know her. Her kind heart touched every person she met. She made you laugh, would help any person who needed it and never expected anything in return. She will be sorely missed and her laughter and spirit will live forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9 at Edwards Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Avenue, Dobbs Ferry from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, July 10 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, Dobbs Ferry followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
