Gabriel J. "Gabe" Indrieri, 73 of Irvington passed away peacefully on June 8, 2014. Born and raised in the Bronx, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Indrieri. Gabriel graduated from Fordham University. He served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1962. Gabe worked as an Insurance Salesman for many years until his retirement. He married his one true love Marie Ambrosi on May 23, 1964 in the Bronx. They moved to Irvington in 1975 and continued raising their family. Gabe was an avid NY Yankees fan. He was also a Mason for many years. Gabriel loved spending time with his family but he especially adored his two grandsons. He will be greatly missed. Gabriel is survived by his wife of 50 years Marie, children Joseph, Marisa Andrew Mercatante and Michael and grandsons Andrew and John. He is also survived by his sister Marie Schuchman and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 10:00am Wednesday Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home with Visiting 2-4 and 7-9pm Tuesday.
