Robert "Bobo" Hernandez Obituary

Robert Bernard Hernandez "Bobo", 79 died March 20, 2014, He was born to Ann and Bernard Hernandez in 1934. He grew up in Hastings on Hudson. Robert served in the US Navy aboard the USS Burdo. He attended Geneseo College and later became a Postal Carrier where he earned numerous awards for his impeccable work ethic. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Matthews Church. Robert was extremely proud of the years that he coached the Hastings Rams. He had a passion for football and was proud of his teams dedication and commitment to the sport. Many of Roberts players remember him fondly because of his ability to motivate and inspire them. Robert is survived by his mother Ann Samar Hernandez, his loving sister, Arlene Skolowec, and his children Bart Joann, Anita Randy, Roberta Brian, Jacqueline Edward, eight grandchildren, Lisamarie, Martin, Randy, Katelyn, Eddie, Jennifer, Jamie, and Tommy. He was also the loving uncle to Lori, Gary, and Connie. Mass of the Resurrection Monday 10:00am Church of St. Matthew R.C., Hastings. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Memorials to Calvary Hospital appreciated.
