Dorothy J. Wheeler
Dorothy J. Wheeler, 85 a lifelong resident of Dobbs Ferry died on January 1, 2014 after a long illness. Born and raised in Dobbs Ferry, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Wheeler. Dorothy attended the Ardsley Schools. She worked for many years at AT&T in White Plains before retiring in 1986. Dorothy was a member of the Pioneers of America. One would often find her tending her garden or find her reading. Dorothy adored her kittens and fully enjoyed spending time taking care of them. She is survived by sister-in-law Denise Wheeler of New Bern, NC, her niece Nanette Richard DeSanto, nephews Thomas Janerie Wheeler and Larry Wheeler , great nieces Mallory Greg Sanzari and Danielle Wheeler. She was predeceased by her brother Edwin Eddie Wheeler and her sister Edna Wheeler. Mass of the Resurrection 10:30am Saturday Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel, Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
