Maureen M. Sutherland
Maureen (McLean) Sutherland passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, after battling Scleroderma for many years. She was a longtime resident of Dobbs Ferry, NY and parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She was born in Yonkers, NY on December 25, 1933 to William and Ethel (Henderson) McLean. After graduating from Gorton High School she was an executive secretary for the railroad. In later years she was an administrative assistant at Children's Village in Dobbs Ferry. Although, the job she was most proud of was being a mother and grandmother. She was active member of Sacred Hearts Ladies Sodality and a former member of Sacred Heart School Mothers Club. She was married on May 11, 1957 and is predeceased by her husband Robert A. Sutherland. Maureen was also predeceased by her sisters Joan McLean, Ethel Shelley and Jeanette McAnally. She is survived by her children Patricia (Joseph) Riina, Robert T. Sutherland, Mary Sutherland, Sharon Sutherland and her two grandchildren, Rebecca and Emily Riina. In addition, she is survived by her brother William (Gayle) McLean and her sisters - in-law Helen Sutherland and Susie Honovich-Kavanaugh and many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
