George A. Phillips, 88, of Ardsley died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on August 2, 2018. Born on April 23, 1930, he was the son of the late George and Aline (Brouillette) Phillips. He graduated from Iona Prep, Holy Cross and Fordham Law School, proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, was a distinguished attorney at the law firm formerly known as Cusack & Stiles, and a long-time parishioner at O.L.P.H. Church in Ardsley, NY.
A deeply devoted family man, George is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gloria C. Phillips; his children Aline, Carolyn (Edward) Scaperrotta, Jacqueline (Thomas) Foley, George, Patricia (Patrick) Lacy, and Barbara; his grandchildren Edward, Jeffrey, Eric, Michael, Danielle, Kristen, Thomas, Casey and Patrick; his beloved sister Lucille (Phillips) Fullerton; and was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his cherished sister Aline (Phillips) McCarthy.
Mass of the Resurrection 10:00am Tuesday Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Ardsley. Visiting 4-8pm Monday Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave, Dobbs Ferry.
