Paula K. Dambroff
Paula Dambroff, a longtime resident of Dobbs Ferry, passed away in the comfort of her family on August 25, 2021 after a long enduring battle with cancer. Paula was born October 2nd, 1955 in Mineloa, NY to Wallace and Mollie Kravitz. She was raised in Syosset, NY until attending The Adelphi University followed by achieving her Masters degree at The University of Pittsburgh. For decades, she worked as an Assistant Director of Volunteer Services at Westchester Community College. It was here she worked diligently and compassionately connecting immigrant students with an English as a Second Language partner. In addition, Paula also served for several years on the Dobbs Ferry Board of Village Trustees. On June 17th, 1979 she married her husband of 43 years, David Dambroff, at The Midway Jewish Center in Syosset, NY. Later, she and David moved to Dobbs Ferry, NY where they raised the pride and joy of their marriage, their children, Rebecca and Daniel. Paula was a die-hard Yankee fan and lover of the very hard to love, NY Jets. You could always guarantee if a game was on, the TV was on. She herself was an amazing athlete and encyclopedia of Yankees History. Paula is survived by her husband, David, her father, Wally, her brother, Ken, her children, Rebecca and Daniel, and her daughter-in-law, Emily. My sincere condolences to Paula's family. As a former Beacon Hill alumni I remember Paula's outgoing personality whether at bus stop, park or pool. She was always a lot of fun. Sincerely Pat Slattery

Paula, we spent many happy moments at the JCC, a place I always felt was our second home. We were just a couple of humble Dobbs Ferry moms doing our thing, working, taking care of our families and most importantly, supporting each other. You left us too soon but I know i... Continue Reading

As along time friend of the family, brought together by Karaoke, this hits me extremely hard. I basically saw Becky grow up and become a wonderful woman, a steadfast friend, and a beautiful singer. Although separated by distance, I would see the family whenever they coul... Continue Reading

I was so shocked and sad to hear this tragic news. I had known Paula since our years at South Grove Elementary School almost 60 years ago. We stayed in touch long-distance through our similar views of the world (and the New York Yankees). A genuinely beautiful person. Th... Continue Reading

My memory of Paula is what a good mother she was to her children. I used to babysit her daughter Becky when she was a little. You could just see it right away! RIH Paulatwo_hearts
