On Friday August 6th, 2021 Daniel "Danny" Carroll of New Fairfield, CT passed away at the age of 39. Danny was born on January 5th, 1982, in White Plains, NY, and was the son of Caryn McDonaugh and Kevin Carroll. He spent most of his life residing in Dobbs Ferry, NY, where he was well known and loved. From a young age it was evident Danny had a brilliant mind, and as he got older he became more and more hungry to learn, and loved figuring out how things worked. This helped him perfect his craft in operations engineering in places such at Montefiore Hospital and Columbia University. Danny also had a sense of humor that could bring light to even the most serious of situations, and would always leave everyone laughing. He was always known as the class clown, and he carried that with him throughout adulthood. One thing Danny did take very seriously was his love of animals. He donated to various animal rescues, and rescued several cats himself. He loved nature, camping, hiking, kayaking, and cherished his white water rafting trips to the Delaware River with his best friends. Danny was deeply loved, and will be missed. He is survived by his parents, his stepfather Andy Stambuk, his sister Hope McDonaugh, his cats, Cat and Circle, and his loving fianc Rhiannon Force. He is also survived by various aunts, uncles and cousins. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 12th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with service at 2:15pm at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry, followed by a Celebration of Life at Doubledays's, also in Dobbs Ferry.
