On February 19, 2021, Robert Francis Maher entered into eternal peace. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle, and friend. Our grief is allayed by the love he leaves behind. A magnetic personality who seldom failed to put a smile on the faces of all who knew him. Born in the Belmont neighborhood of the Bronx in 1933, Bobby was a fixture at his grandfather Presta's Pork Store and later at Addeo Bakery where he met the love of his life, Laura Addeo. Together they had three children, Robert (Anita), Laurie Filippone (Glenn), Marisa Maher Fata (Thomas). The family grew to include seven grandchildren: Robby, Gregory, Michael, and Danny, Alyssa, Ava, and Alexa. Countless nieces, nephews, and friends will also miss the man who was often the life of the party. He will also be greatly missed by his loving brother, George Heimberger. He is also predeceased by his brother Frankie. It is said that a good life is measured by what we leave behind. What he leaves behind is immeasurable to all who knew him. May he rest in the warmth of our savior's encompassing embrace.
