Beulah Tishelman (nee Zeiger) of Tarrytown, NY died peacefully at home on March 1, 2022. Beulah was born on Nov. 7th, 1927 in NYC, studied at Hunter College and later received a Master's in Library Sciences, working in various positions in a gratifying career, including as a science librarian at Yeshiva University. Beulah was intelligent and vibrant, and dearly loved her family and friends. She enjoyed opera and knitting, and inspired a passion for reading in her children and others. She studied for and achieved her Bat Mitvah at the age of 70 and was a volunteer librarian at her synagogue for years. She had a memorable and infectious sense of humor that prevailed throughout her life. Beulah was predeceased by her beloved husband Harry, sister Thelma Mozeson, and brother Herbert Zeiger. Survivors include her children, Carol (Rune) of Stockholm, Amy (Robert) of Boston, and Edward (Aurora) of Irvington, N.Y., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Old Montefiore Cemetery, Springfield Blvd on Wed. March 9th at 1 P.M. followed by a gathering in Irvington, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS).
