Agnes Marie Raimondo DeCrenza 81, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Thanksgiving evening, November 25th 2010 after a long and fearless battle to Cancer. Agnes was born on February 9th, 1929. Her parents, Antonio and Stella Yozzo Raimondo predeceased her. She was a 1946 graduate of Dobbs Ferry High School. She married Carmine De Crenza in 1950 and resided in Dobbs Ferry for many years. She was formerly employed by the Foundation for Economic Education and the Tarrytown Conference Center both in Irvington, NY. She loved watching baseball, especially her favorite team, The New York Yankees. She enjoyed cooking, baking, facilitating "joke telling" as well as playing practical jokes on family and friends. Some of her former residences include Briarcliff Manor, New York, Port Charlotte, Florida, and Wells, Maine. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carmine, her daughters, Marie Frank and her husband Gary of Wolfeboro, N.H., Arlene Mershell and her husband Gene of Jacksonville, Fl. and her son, Edward DeCrenza and his wife Karen of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., four grandchildren, Aimee Frank Barrett, Kyle Frank, Curtis Frank and Anthony Chiulli as well as three great-grandchildren all of whom she cherished. Also surviving is her loving brother Anthony J. Raimondo of Ossining, N.Y., and her sister, Catherine Dazzo of Sacramento, California, three brothers and one sister who predeceased her, Victoria Yacono, Dominick Raimondo, Nicholas Raimondo and Joseph Raimondo. She is survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. Mass of the Resurrection Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Dobbs Ferry, New York on Saturday, December 4th at 10am. Interment at Ferncilff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, New York. Visiting at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home December 3rd from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
