Edith Ruiz Roman of the Bronx, died on October 3rd, 2010; she was 70. She was born on September 16, 1940 to Andres and Casimira Roman, in San Sebastin, Puerto Rico. Edith was one of 18 children; and is survived by 5 sisters and 3 brothers. She came to New York in July of 1958; finally settling in The Bronx. She was married to Paulino Ruiz, who pre-deceased her in 1974. Edith was a Home Attendant Health Care Worker. Edith is the Beloved Mother of Paulino Ruiz and Yvette Ruiz; her memory and love and will always remain in their hearts. She is also survived by her 2 cherished grandchildren. Visiting 2-4 & 7-9 pm Thursday, October 7th, 2010 at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave; Dobbs Ferry, New York 10522. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, October 8th, at 9:15 am; Sacred Heart Church; on the corner of 10 Lawton Ave and Central Park Ave. Hartsdale, New York. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
