Michael D. Hein of Dobbs Ferry, died on Sunday, February 7th, 2010; he was 70. He was born in New York City on May 30th, 1939 to Ralph and Bertha Shapiro Hein. On November 4th, 1978 he married his beloved wife Ann Sarver, in New York City. They moved to Dobbs Ferry in 1980, where they raised their beloved daughter Rebecca. Michael earned his Baccalaureate degree from Columbia University. He continued at Columbia, earning his Masters, and a Masters in Library Science. He spent his career working as a Teacher and a Librarian. Michael most recently worked at the Horace Mann School in Riverdale, New York. Michael was an avid Yankee and Knicks Fan; and loved his "Old Time Radio Program Tapes." He is survived by his beloved wife Ann; his loving daughter Rebecca, and Rebecca's partner Travis Klami; and his cherished cats Pixie and Peanut.
