Schmadel, Margaret M. 93, of Irvington. She was born in North Tarrytown to James and Jessie McMurtrie. Peggy lived her entire life in Irvington. She graduated from Irvington Schools and later worked for MET Life. On December 29, 1945 Peggy married Joseph Schmadel in Irvington. He died in 2000. In 1951 she went to work as a secretary for Burnham Corporation in Irvington. She retired in 1981. Surviving are her sisters, Jessie DiChiara, Jane Reich and Sarah Paul along with several nieces and nephews. Peggy was predeceased by her brother James L. McMurtrie.
