Eleanor E. Russo, Elly, died peacefully in her home on her 80th birthday. Born on September 24th 1929 in Dobbs Ferry NY, to Antoinette and Dominick Vano. On April 8th 1956 she married Anthony Russo. Eleanor worked for New York Telephone Co. until she moved to Palm Bay Florida, and retired from Bellsouth Telephone Co. in 1982. Surviving is her husband Anthony, daughter Donna DeRaffele Angelo of Harrison NY, son Anthony Jr. Joscelyn of Stamford Conn; her loving grandchildren, Nicole, Travis, Tyler, Stacey, Kim and great grandaughter Cassandra; sisters Angela PattersonBill of Palm bay Florida, Gloria RussoNeal of West Harrison, Yolanda Gammarati of West Harrison, Anna Knecht of Dobbs Ferry, Marie Elena Knecht of Dobbs Ferry, Margaret WasilchukFred Nevada, bother in law Joseph Gorey Yorktown Heights. Predeceased by her sisters Antoinette Gorey, Diana Patterson and her stepson Carmen Russo. Also surviving is her special nephew, Charles Russo, who cared for her. Eleanor enjoyed her spare time with friends at the Italian American Club in Melbourne Florida, where she was a Honorary member. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
