Maureen (McManus) Lally, born June 15th, 1938 in The Bronx, N.Y. to Francis (Dunnigan) and James McManus passed peacefully at Brooklyn Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Wednesday January 27, 2021 surrounded by family. Born and raised in the Bronx, Maureen received her BA at Marymount Manhattan College and MBA from Adelphi University. She had a very successful career in educational publishing, loved to travel and go to Broadway shows, and adored her family. Maureen is survived by her partner of over 20 years Ira Jacobsen, sister Joanne (McManus) Hanlon, son John Lally, daughter in law Danielle, grandchildren Mackenzie & Jack, and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her son David Lally and her brother James McManus. A viewing is scheduled for February 4th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY followed by burial at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY.
