Robert E. Peters "Pappy" passed away peacefully on April 25, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born in Yonkers, NY on November 24, 1927. Robert grew up in Hastings-on-Hudson and later moved to Irvington. He worked at Nevis Labs, Columbia University in Irvington for 41 years. He proudly served his country during the Korean conflict. Robert was predeceased by his devoted wife Marie Peters Nee Zarrilli on December 11, 2012. He is survived by his beloved children Robert K. Peters wife Ilka Peters, Jean Lorraine Peters and John V. Peters wife Carla Peters Loving grandfather of Jennie, Alexis, Shane, Kyle, Kaylee, John Pasquale, Marisa Marie. Dear great grandfather of Blake & Luca. Robert loved his scratch offs, He always had a smile on his face and made everyone around him smile. Visiting will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. There will be a brief gathering at the funeral home on Friday from 9AM to 10AM. Burial will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.
