Eileen K. Fleming

Eileen K. Fleming, 93, a devoted wife, loving mother of seven, dedicated grandmother of 20 and loyal friend, died peacefully at her home in Dobbs Ferry New York on March 20, 2017. Eileen was born February 10, 1924 in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of William and Henrietta Kennedy. She married Charles "Charley" Fleming on May 30, 1952 in Yonkers, New York. He predeceased her on November 12, 1987. Eileen graduated from Gorton High School in Yonkers NY and was a librarian at New York Life Insurance Company in New York City. She met her husband while taking a course at Columbia University. Eileen enjoyed the lakes and mountains of Vermont, the Hudson River, and beaches but most importantly, she enjoyed life. Eileen was someone who enjoyed a good time, had a smile that brightened all around her and saw the best in everyone. Eileen was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Matthews Church in Hastings and recently a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Eileen is survived by her children and spouses; Gregory Robin, Mary Perillo Joseph, Loretta Chiavetta David, Thomas Erin, Eileen K Fleming, two daughter-in-law's, Pamela Fleming and Barbara Garland Fleming, 20 loving grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Eileen was predeceased by two sons, Chuck Fleming and Paul Fleming, her parents, and sister, Mary Mahoney, and brother, William Kennedy. The Family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions in the memory of Eileen K. Fleming, be made to the: Maria Fareri Children's Hospital Foundation Taylor Pavilion Suite 3C 100 Woods Road Valhalla NY 10595 Mass of the Resurrection 930am Friday Sacred Heart Church, Dobbs Ferry.
