Gregory Bernard Wingfield

Gregory Bernard Wingfield was the second child born September 26, 1950 to the Late Nelson and Mary "Jessie" Wingfield Jr. the first child Earl Nelson and the Third child Brenda Jane also preceded him in death. Gregory received a quality education at P.S. 146, Creston JHS #79 and Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx, New York. At Creston JHS Gregory received a commendation for being the only student in his class to perform an Isometric pushup. His physical fitness was showcased when he played on a Sandlot football league at Macombs Park next to Yankee Stadium. In addition, Gregory displayed great skill in martial arts. Gregory had a wide field of interests including Photography where he became a staff photographer for the local community planning board. He not only took the pictures but also developed them in his on dark room. Gregory was also a great bowler. He won numerous trophies and cash prizes at the Madison Square Garden semi-professional bowling Leagues. Gregory was Drafted into the Army after graduating from Theodore Roosevelt High school. He showed great aptitude with Electronics and was assigned to the Signal corps which was responsible for wiring and communications. In addition, Gregory was a Paratrooper where he trained at Fort Bragg and was later stationed in Germany. Perhaps one of Gregory's proudest moments was his graduating with a B.S. from the Monroe College where he wrote a column in the school newspaper. After Graduation Gregory worked in the IT areas for Sotherby's, Lockheed Martin and the Veterans administration.
