Jesse Tony Vallado

Jesse Tony Vallado was a caring father, grandfather, and friend. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 11th at the age of 74. Jesse was born to Katy and Tony Vallado on November 13, 1946. After graduating from Edgewood high school, Jesse began his professional career in radio broadcasting in 1965 at San Antonio’s popular Spanish-language station KUKA 1250 AM…taking “KUKA Power” dedications while hosting a radio show called 'Top Teen Tunes" Jesse went on to form his band Little Jesse Jr. and the teardrops that toured throughout Texas where they had hit records like "Ain't No Big Thing" and "Give Your Love To Me". In the late 70's he created a new band named "Zapata" that held a residency at Safari Themed Club B'wana Dik on the Riverwalk in San Antonio for many years. Jesse owned and operated Pro Musician/DJ Sound and Lights where he spent many years selling Pro Audio & DJ equipment to the people of San Antonio. Jesse was also a force to reckon with in the car industry and was a top performer for many years. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Katy Picasso and Tony Vallado, and his daughter Theresa Rodriguez Vallado. Jesse is survived by his children Jesse Tony Vallado, Jr. and Christi Cantu. He was a proud grandfather to Amber, Aaron, Amanda, Brielle, Mila, Maxson, and soon to be baby Cashton. Jesse will be honored for his service to his country with a celebration of his life on September 30, 2022 at Fort Sam Houston at 10:15 AM.
