Edith H. DeCecca, 90, a lifelong resident of Ardsley passed away on February 4, 2018. She was born to the late John and Minnie Holscher. Edith was a graduate of Ardsley High School and the Traphagen School of Design in New York City. On September 16, 1956 she married Michael DeCecca at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains. She worked as an office manager for IRM Insurance in Tarrytown until her retirement on November 30, 1996. Edith was a local award winning watercolor artist. She also opened her home and enjoyed cooking for numerous friends and family. She was a longtime member of the Ardsley Historical Society and was the Vice President of the Mary Martha Guild of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Scarsdale. Edith will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children Linda (Jim) Warren, Michael (Cathy) DeCecca and Melanie (Randy) Solomon and four grandchildren Katie, Melinda, Anna and Rebekah. Edith was predeceased by her husband Michael in 2001. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ardsley Historical Society or to Trinity Lutheran Church.
