Andrea Martinez Dobbs Ferry, New York Obituary

Andrea Martinez

Andrea Martinez a/k/a Angie, a retiree of the New York City Transit Authority, suddenly but peacefully passed away on April 25, 2020 at Jacobi Medical Center. She was born on November 30, 1948 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico to her parents Santiago Carpena and Isabel Maria Carpena. She finally settled as a true diva in the Bronx where she is survived by her children, Marco, Carolyn, Jessica, partner Jose, grandchild Joel and her son in law Ivan. Angie was a devoted, loving mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She had a profound love for animals especially her Brandy, along with her grand doggies Trixie and Shorty. She spent her time shopping, gambling, going to the movies and decorating. She also had a love for travel, but due to her health condition, she didn't get to explore as much as she desired. She had a strong and dynamic personality which resonated when she walked into a room. Those who knew her best, loved and respected her. Angie loved to spend time with her family and her best memories have been surrounded by the people she loved. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her. When she was called home, she joined her immediate family including her beloved brothers and is finally resting in peace. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude all our friends and family. Additionally, we extend our gratitude to the staff at Edwards Dowdle Funeral Home for their exceptional service and support with assisting in Angie's final resting place. Details are pending.
