Obituary
Steven Ringler, D.V.M., 65, passed away on March 15, 2019. Steven was a veterinarian and the former owner of Dobbs Ferry Animal Hospital. He was born on February 12, 1954, to the late Samuel and Rita Ringler in Malverne, New York. He graduated from Locust Valley High school, followed by a year spent wearing a tie-dyed raincoat in Arizona, collecting reptiles. He finished his undergraduate career at Bard College, and later spent five years in the fur business working alongside his father. Steven went on to earn his DVM from Ross University. Most of his professional career was spent as a small animal veterinarian, with a particular interest in reptiles. He was an avid fly fisherman (catch and release), drummer, stereophile, and Rangers fan. He's survived by his wife (Susan Hashim), children (Lilah and Noah), and sister (Rhonda).
