Mary Ellen Nell Durkin
Mary Ellen Nell Durkin was born in County Sligo, Ireland in 1904. Since 1998 she had been a resident of Bronxville. Previously she resided in Stuyvesant Town, New York City. Her career included staff member in New York District Attorney's office followed by secretary in a Wall Street law firm. She was a professed secular member of the Third Order of St. Francis. After retirement she was an activities employee and then volunteer at the Mary Manning Walsh Home, New York City. The last of eight siblings and their spouses, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and their spouses. Mass of the Resurrection Wednesday 9:30AM, Church of the Sacred Heart, Dobbs Ferry. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Community Hospital at Dobbs Ferry or St. Cabrini Nursing Home.November 6, 1904 - July 10, 200511/06/190407/10/2005
