Mary D. Stefanko, of Hastings-on-Hudson died May 16, 2005. She was born in Hastings to Dmytro and Mary Buzaar Dmishko. Mary was educated and spent her entire life in Hastings. On October 6, 1940 she married James Stefanko at St. Michael's Church in Yonkers. He died in 1980. She belonged to the Hastings Busy Bees, the Mother's Club, was a communicant at the Church of St. Matthew and the Legion of Mary. She was a hairdresser for many years. Mary is survived by her son Robert Stefanko of Windham, NY and daughter Bonnie Pinkos of Barneveld, NY, grandsons Kevin, Steven, Brian one sister Catherine Stobbe . She was predeceased by her sister Michelinz Caroziotis. Mass of the Resurrection 10AM Thursday Church of St. Matthew, Hastings. Visiting 7-9PM Wednesday Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Memorials to the Church of St. Matthew appreciated.
