Arnold L. Gargiulo, 81 of Dobbs Ferry on May 13, 2005. Mr. Gargiulo was born on November 8, 1923 in the Bronx to Louis and Clara Volpe Gargiulo.
He was raised in Dobbs Ferry has lived there for the past 50 years. He served in the US Navy during WW II. On May 29, 1948 Arnold married Mary Petnuch in Yonkers. Mr. Gargiulo was the owner of Arnold's Fuel Service in Dobbs Ferry. He treated work as a hobby and still worked everyday, including driving the fuel oil delivery truck.
Arnold was a past village trustee in Dobbs Ferry, was past commander of American Legion Post 1048 in Dobbs Ferry, was a past member of the Sons of Italy an Men's Club HTO in Yonkers.
Surviving along with his wife are his children, Diane Kahn, Dale Gargiulo and Arnold Gargiulo II, his grandchildren Jason, James, Jesse and great granddaughter Jayna, two brothers Salvatore Gargiulo and Michael Pardy and sister Mildred Grimaldi. He was predeceased by his brother Dominick Gargiulo.
