Anastasia A. McGrane Obituary

Anastasia A. McGrane died February 28, 2005 at the Washington Home Hospice in Washington, D.C. Mrs. McGrane was born October 23, 1918. She was a resident of Irvington for 50 years, where she raised her family. An avid swimmer and walker, she worked at the Past Tense Antique Store. She was a member of the Irvington Garden Club; and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, the St. Cabrini Nursing Home and at the Now and Again Shop, benefitting Dobbs Ferry Hospital. She was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Immaculate Conception Church. Surviving her are her children, Frank McGrane of Washington, D.C., Myles McGrane of Riverside, CT, Nan McGrane of St. Paul, MN, Mary McGrane of Bethesda, MD and Anastasia Lanier of Durango, CO, and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Francis Lee in 1944 and James McGrane in 1983. Mass of the Resurrection 10am Friday, Immaculate Conception Church, Irvington. Visiting Thursday from 6:00pm until 8:30pm only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Cabrini Nursing Home, 115 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, the Alzheimer's Association or the Irvington Garden Club.
