Gina Michelle Jenkins Obituary

Gina Michelle Jenkins was born on November 25, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri to Wilburn and Marjorie Givhan. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Cheryl Singh. Gina graduated from Paseo High School in 1974 and later attended Penn Valley Community College. She married Anthony Jenkins in 1980 and two children were born from that union Antonio and Ginea. In her spare time Gina enjoyed creating beautiful decorative baskets, spending her free time with family and friends, and listening to worship music that she played daily in her home. She also enjoyed shopping at her favorite thrift stores in Kansas City and trying new recipes from her favorite cooking shows. Gina was a loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Mema, as she was affectionately known to her grandchildren, gave her all to ensure that they knew the word of God. She is survived by a son, Antonio Jenkins (Whitnii), one daughter Ginea Jenkins, her sisters Felicia Givhan, Greta Harden, Cara Carter (Edward), Leslie Flowers (Ken), and Tracey Love (Burton), three grandchildren: Tyrin Jenkins, Aniyah Harrell, and Ava Jenkins, one great grandchild Armani Jenkins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation only, no services.
