Lester Elwood “Bud” Hanson Hanson, Lester E. “Bud,” age 94, passed away peacefully holding his wife’s hand on July 10, 2022, at Lyngblomsten Care Center in St. Paul. Bud was born January 22, 1928, to Edward and Minnie Hanson in Leeds, North Dakota. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Maynard, Marvin, Elmer and sister Helen. Bud’s kind and ever joking spirit will be missed by wife, Louise, children Dean (Jackie), Dale, Linda (Bruce), Cliff and Jeff (Mandy), 10 grandchildren - Bree (Eric), Torrie, Matthew, Taylor, Brandon, Britney, Brooklyn, Brandt, Jacob and Jessica, brother Kenneth, nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. He and Louise were married for 66 magical years and he served in the Army and the Navy. He enjoyed visiting the casinos, was a master at cribbage, kept PepsiCo in business as he ate bags and bags of Cheetos and his hobby was hugging everyone he met – especially the ladies. He loved teasing all children – especially his cherished children and his loved beyond measure grandchildren. Our family would like to thank all the staff at Lyngblomsten for the loving care they provided Bud. A celebration of life will be Saturday, July 30, 2022, 1:00 to 4:00, at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Avenue, St. Paul, 651-228-1006. Internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be Friday, September 2, at 10 AM..
