Jane Traver, 87 of Copake Falls NY passed peacefully on Wednesday July 27, 2022 at Greene Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Catskill, NY.

 

She was born on May 26, 1935 in Ancram, NY to Clayton and Mary (Molly) Fagan Traver.

 

A lifelong resident, Jane was employed for over 30 years in the parts control management division by Becton - Dickinson in Canaan, CT.

 

Jane was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Parish formerly St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church. She was an active member of the Copake Grange #935, Roe Jan Young at Hearters, Friends of the Taconic State Park and served as a AARP driving instructor for the Alive at 55 program.

 

Surviving family members include her brother Joseph Donald Traver and wife Joan, nephews David Traver and Daniel Traver along with many grand nieces and nephews.

 

She was pre deceased by a sister Mary Eileen Traver in 1982.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday August 8, 2022 at 12 Noon at Our Lady of Hope Parish, Route 22 in Copake Falls, NY with the Rev. George Brennan officiating.

 

Friends are invited and may call also on Monday from 10:30 – 11:45 at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home. Route 22 in Copake NY.

 

Interment will be in Old St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Copake Falls immediately following the Mass.
