Mrs. Betty Horn Belue, age 87, widow of William Frank Belue of 121 Gault St., Jonesville, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

            Mrs. Belue was born in High Shoals, NC, November 21, 1934, a daughter of the late Simon William “Bill” Horn and Lula Bridges Horn. She was retired from the Union County School System having worked in the cafeteria. She was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher, a GA Leader and served on the Hostess Committee.

            Surviving are two sons, William Frank “Billy” Belue of Jonesville and Steve Belue of Bonham; a granddaughter, Jenifer Yamamato and husband Daniel of Alaska; a grandson, Coleman Belue and wife Brandy of Chicago; and great-grandchildren, Josh Belue, Kevin Yamamato and Rylee Yamamato. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special niece, Elizabeth Cabaniss and husband Allen and a nephew Charles Harold Hawkins, Jr. all of Union. She was predeceased by two sisters, Raye Hawkins and Vernie Humphries; four brothers, William, Edward, Eugene and Horace Horne and a brother-in-law, Charles Harold Hawkins, Sr.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 5, 2022 at Fairforest Baptist Church cemetery conducted by Rev. Ralph Brown.

            The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.
