Sean Cotter
Sean E. Cotter, 55, of Lafayette passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at his home. Sean was born August 18, 1966 in Bronx, New York, to Michael F. Cotter and Inger Kristiansen. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Desert Storm. On May 20, 1995 he married Christina Hutton in Decatur, IN and she survives. Sean worked for LPR Construction the last eight years. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and building things with his power tools. Along with his wife, Christina, he is survived by his children: Anthony Overla of Wyoming, Paul Freeman (wife, Brittany) and Richard Freeman (wife, Brittney) both of Lafayette; mother Inger Kristiansen of Salem, OR; father Michel F. Cotter (wife, Jennifer) of Strawberry Plain, TN; siblings: Tor Kevin Cotter of Washington, Helene Cotter of Salem, OR and half-brother Mikey Cotter of Williamsburg, VA; and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister Kristine Cotter-Emery. Memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be directed to the Veterans.
