Michael Jay Armantrout
GASTON- Michael Jay Armantrout, 61, passed away late Saturday evening, July 30, 2022 at the home of his sister, following a brief illness. Michael was born August 3, 1960 in Muncie and was the son of the late Richard Armantrout and Jane (Colter) Armantrout. Michael was a lifelong resident of Delaware County. He graduated from Wes-Del High School in 1978. Michael loved to play in the dirt and was a heavy equipment operator. He loved to bass fish and loved nothing more than his dog Titan. Michael is survived by two sisters Jo Carver (Gary) and Susan Lee (John); two nieces Emily Kubiak (Matt) and Beth Raines (Joshua); two nephews Andrew Armantrout and Dennis Bruner; his best friend who was like a brother Jeffrey Ray Bookout (Rhonda). In addition to Michael’s parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jeffrey Armantrout in 2008. There will be no public services in honoring Michael’s wishes. The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel is handling the arrangements. Army was one of a kind. Mike worked for my parents years ago and was always so sweet to all of us and especially my Mom. He always had a smile and a hug. He will be greatly missed💗💗💗
