Michael Jay Armantrout

GASTON- Michael Jay Armantrout, 61, passed away late Saturday evening, July 30, 2022 at the home of his sister, following a brief illness. Michael was born August 3, 1960 in Muncie and was the son of the late Richard Armantrout and Jane (Colter) Armantrout. Michael was a lifelong resident of Delaware County. He graduated from Wes-Del High School in 1978. Michael loved to play in the dirt and was a heavy equipment operator. He loved to bass fish and loved nothing more than his dog Titan. Michael is survived by two sisters Jo Carver (Gary) and Susan Lee (John); two nieces Emily Kubiak (Matt) and Beth Raines (Joshua); two nephews Andrew Armantrout and Dennis Bruner; his best friend who was like a brother Jeffrey Ray Bookout (Rhonda). In addition to Michael’s parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jeffrey Armantrout in 2008. There will be no public services in honoring Michael’s wishes. Army was one of a kind. Mike worked for my parents years ago and was always so sweet to all of us and especially my Mom. He always had a smile and a hug. He will be greatly missed💗💗💗
