Marshall Turner Moulton

Marshall Turner Moulton, age 94, passed away peacefully at home<br>on July 22, 2022 in Wentworth, New Hampshire.<br><br>He was born at home in Pigeon Cove, the north village of Rockport,<br>Massachusetts on January 3,1928 to Esther Mae Allen and Marshall<br>“Eben” Turner Moulton. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years,<br>Doris Mills Moulton (d. 1996) and second wife of 11 years Marjorie<br>McPhee Moulton (d. 2014).<br><br>During the 1950’s, he worked as a stone cutter at Johnson’s Quarry, a<br>drop forge operator at the Cape Ann Tool Company, and an offshore<br>fishing crew member out of Gloucester, Massachusetts. In the 1960s,<br>Marshall delivered Anadama Bread throughout the greater Boston<br>area at night.<br><br>Marshall and his brother Leonard “Lenny” A. Moulton (d. 2014),<br>owned and operated Eben’s Oil Service, founded by their father in<br>Rockport. Later he and his family moved to California and then<br>moved to Wentworth, NH 20 years later where he enjoyed living with<br>his extended family.<br><br>Marshall had a great love of all things sea-related. He enjoyed<br>fishing, lobstering, digging clams, and sailing. He passed that love on<br>to his children. He made wonderful baked bread. While living in NH,<br>he took up making maple syrup, boiling the sap outside on a stove<br>he made out of a 50-gallon drum. He loved spending time with family<br>and family loved spending time with him. Marshall was always there<br>to help anyone in need. He could build or fix just about anything and<br>was a great teacher to others of what he knew. He had a great sense<br>of humor and had an “Attitude of Gratitude”. Marshall was a man of<br>few words, but of great influence. He will be missed by many.<br><br>Marshall is survived by his sister Betty Moulton Legacy of Rockport,<br>Massachusetts. His four children: Leslie Moulton Backstrom and<br>husband Bernie,Wentworth, New Hampshire, Luann Moulton<br>Taliaferro, Plymouth, New Hampshire, Geoffrey Moulton and wife Lisa<br>of Rockport, Massachusetts, and Jed Moulton and wife Sarah of<br>Omaha, Nebraska.
