Karen Marie Olson, 72, left this world July 26, 2022, and was received by her heavenly father, reuniting with her parents Roy and Anne Garke. Karen was born February 22, 1950, in Wenatchee, WA where she was raised with her older sister Sharon. Karen attended the University of Washington where she met her future husband Doug Olson, graduating in 1972. She taught elementary school for a number of years. Her first teaching position was in Longview WA. Karen and Doug married in 1973 and afterwards, Karen moved to Bremerton continuing her career at View Ridge Elementary School until their sons Matt and Tim were born. She was very active at their schools and sports programs and with church activities. Karen was afflicted with multiple sclerosis in her 30s and courageously fought the disease the rest of her life with dignity. She leaves behind her husband Doug, sons Matt and Tim, grandsons Nehemiah and Axel, and sister Sharon Berry. She also leaves behind a multitude of relatives and friends.
