Randal Lee Stephens

Randal Lee Stephens passed at home surrounded by family on Sunday July 24th, 2022, after fighting cancer for almost 3 years. He was born to Ron and Shirley Stephens on September 1, 1955, in Freeport, Illinois.<br><br> <br><br>Over the past year he managed to fulfill all the major adventures on his bucket list. Along with his wife, Suzee, he took his daughter, Mindy, and granddaughter, Scarlett, to Disney World. He cruised to Alaska, did a Mexican Riviera cruise where he caught an 8-foot marlin then took a trip to Germany to see his son, Ron, and partner Matt, followed by a stop in Pennsylvania to find Mindy and Scarlett. In June he did a Caribbean cruise with Mindy and Scarlett. So much fun and great memories for all.<br><br> <br><br>Randy had a successful career as a farrier where he made lots of friends. He took great pride in caring for his client’s horses. He also spent many years involved with Larimer County Fair and Rodeo. He loved helping all the kids and equally loved putting on a great rodeo.<br><br> <br><br>His entire life he enjoyed being outdoors in nature and viewing wildlife. Many evenings were spent looking for deer, elk, moose, et. Seeing a bear in Alaska catching fish was one of his greatest thrills. And seeing bald eagles swooping down was the highlight of his Alaska adventure.<br><br> <br><br>Randy is survived by his wife, Susan, Daughter, Mindy Jones, son Ron Stephens (Matt Kranz), granddaughter Scarlett Jones, sister Cheryl Hughes (Jim) and many family members and friends.<br><br> <br><br>He is preceded in death by his father, Ron Stephens, mother Shirley Stephens, and grandparents.<br><br> <br><br>Services will be held at Northern Colorado Crematory, 700 8th St., Greeley, CO on Saturday July 30th, 2022, at 11:00am.<br><br> <br><br>In lieu of flowers, Randy’s wish is for donations to be made to the following:<br><br> <br><br>Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation or Cancer Bridge at McKee Wellness Foundation.
