Ronald L. Taylor (age 78) passed away on July 26th 2022. Ron was born in New London, CT on June 24th 1944, the son of Joseph C. Taylor and Marion P. Taylor. His family moved to Brattleboro, VT when he was young, where they lived on various farms. In his teens, Ron started his first job, delivering the Brattleboro Reformer newspaper on his bicycle. He attended Brattleboro Union High School, where he met his future wife, Frances. Following his graduation Ron attended Electronics School in Boston, MA. Not long after that, he enlisted in the US Navy. After his military service, Ron became employed at BAE Systems for 42 years. During that time he received his associates degree in Electronics. Ron was always a quiet man, but enjoyed staying busy with household maintenance projects-tinkering and fixing. Ron volunteered for the Lyndeborough Fire Department for 32 years, and enjoyed sharing stories about his fire fighting adventures. His other pastimes included history, bowling, photography, and volunteering as a 4-H Leader in the woodworking and archery project areas. He was fond of animals, especially cats, and had quite a run of local cats. He could often be found sitting in his chair stroking one of these lucky felines. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind four daughters: Laura and her husband Kevin, Sarah and her husband Adam, Sylvia, and Amy; two grandchildren: Rosemary and Wesley, his sister-in-law, Pat, and multiple nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Davin, his parents, his brother Chuck, his sister Pat and her husband Kermit.
